On March 26, 1955, "Tianjin Workers' Daily" published the news that "China has successfully produced its own watches." Tianjin Watch Factory, with the beating of a "Chinese heart," proudly announced the completion of China's transition from "watch repair" to "watch manufacturing," giving birth to the first domestically produced Chinese watch, the "Five-Star Watch."
Case back signed by Sū Jiàn (蘇鑑) from the first batch of Sea-Gull's watchmakers (海鸥第一届制表人) and Lǐ Jiāqí (李家琦) who is a Sea-Gull contemporary master watchmaker (海鸥当代制表大师).
This watch ingeniously incorporates the elements of the 18k Gold five stars, symbolizing a brilliant future and the robust unity of the nation. Crafted from 316L stainless steel through multiple processes, it exudes magnificence. The distinguished leather, comfortable and breathable, is meticulously hand-stitched to accentuate its value. Square date display window, easy to read.
