The First Watch in China

On March 24, 1955 at 5:45pm, China's first domestically produced watch - the "Five Star" watch - was born. This was the first domestically produced watch made by China's working class, filling another gap in China's industrial development. It also ended the history of Chinese people only being able to repair watches rather than make them. After that, the predecessor of Seagull Watch - Tianjin Watch Factory - successively developed China's first self-designed and manufactured watch "East Wind", the first women's watch "ST6" that met international standards, and the first aviation watch "D304".
