Resonance of Antiquity: The Seagull Bronze-Loong-Head-Qing-Inspired Timepiece
The intricate pattern around the dial is inspired by the bronze Loong Head from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties (1600bc-256bc), an ancient Chinese instrument known as the Qing (磬), a type of bell used in ceremonial music. The Qing often used during rituals to produce harmonious tones and symbolize the cosmic balance. This design is drawn from the Sanxingdui site in Chengdu, where the Qing was unearthed, reflecting the profound cultural heritage of ancient China.
This watch’s unique aesthetic blends history with modernity. The dial design, infused with the patterns of this ancient instrument, offers a striking visual connection to Chinese culture. Combining the symbolism of the Qing with Seagull’s innovative mechanical movements, this timepiece becomes a true masterpiece. A Masterpiece of Complexity and Chinese Heritage
The Watch is named for its three complex functions: a tourbillon, minute repeater, and perpetual calendar. With 435 finely crafted components, this watch embodies the pinnacle of horological technology, representing the finest craftsmanship in watchmaking. Seagull is proud to be the only Chinese brand to have conquered this challenge.
The dial features small seal script (小篆), an ancient form of Chinese characters that originated during the Qin Dynasty (221 BC), showcasing the aesthetic excellence of Chinese culture. The watch displays the month at 12 o'clock, date at 3 o'clock, day of the week at 9 o'clock, and moon phase at 6 o'clock.
The moon phase dial follows the Chinese characters from left to right, depicting: Eyebrow Moon, Full Moon, and Remnant Moon, reflecting the beauty of traditional Chinese timekeeping and the moon’s natural phases.

Starting at 12 o'clock position, the days of the week are represented in sequential order from 1 to 7.
Month Dial
The inner circle progresses clockwise, representing 1 to 4, with a leap year indicated. The outer circle starts at the 12 o'clock position, with months 1, 4, 7, and 10 marked sequentially.
Date Dial
Starting from the 12 o'clock position, the dates from 1 to 31 are displayed, with even-numbered days marked by a dot (·).
